The business combines deep technical expertise with innovative engineering solutions, including resilient electrical infrastructure, HV/LV power distribution, UPS and standby generation systems, electrical resilience strategies, BIM/Revit coordination and turnkey project delivery. Due to continued growth across the European data centre market, my client is seeking an experienced Associate Electrical Director to lead and expand its electrical engineering capability from its Paris office.The Opportunity This is a senior leadership position for a highly motivated electrical engineer with extensive experience in mission-critical facilities, large-scale data centres, or complex infrastructure projects. You will play a pivotal role in leading multidisciplinary project teams, developing client relationships, mentoring engineers, and driving the delivery of technically excellent electrical designs across hyperscale and colocation developments throughout France and the wider EMEA region. Reporting to the Engineering Director and senior leadership team, you will help shape the future growth of the Paris operation while maintaining the highest standards of technical quality, electrical resilience and project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the electrical design and delivery of mission-critical and data centre projects from concept through construction and commissioning.Act as Project Director or Lead Electrical Engineer on major assignments.Manage and mentor electrical engineers and multidisciplinary design teams.Develop electrical system strategies for high-availability methodologies and best-practice approaches within the business.Candidate ProfileEssentialDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.Minimum 10+ years experience in consulting engineering.Significant experience delivering mission-critical, data centre or major infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of critical electrical infrastructure, power distribution and electrical resilience.Proven experience with HV/MV/LV systems, substations, transformers, switchgear and critical power systems.Strong understanding of UPS, standby generation and resilient power distribution architectures.Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Fluent French and professional English language capability.Proven ability to manage multiple projects, teams and deadlines.Strong understanding of electrical design standards, regulations and compliance requirements applicable to data centre developments in France.DesirableChartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation.Experience
